White River Kennels is a proud breeder of Vizsla puppies. We currently have a litter of these great puppies for sale and we invite you check them out. Like our beautiful Weimaraner pups, Vizsla puppies are unique and special and there are many reasons why we chose to breed them as well. When you visit our website to view the current litters of puppies and learn about our breeding dogs, you will understand why the Vizsla, like the Weims, is a highly sought after type of dog.

The Vizsla dog breed was created in Hungary to work as a pointer and retriever to work closely with their master and never stray too far away. This makes the Vizsla very attached to their owners and all they really want is to be loved. They are a wonderful companion for an active family who can provide them with the exercise and attention they crave.

Hard working pups

Vizslas like to stick close to their humans but they are hard working dogs who are happiest when they have a job to do. In a family, that job can be a hunting companion, service or therapy dog or simply a jogging buddy. If you give him at least an hour of exercise per day, a Vizsla will be your best bud.

Their physical attributes

Vizsla dogs are medium-sized, short-coated dogs of distinguished appearance. They are rather lightly built and their coat is an attractive shaded golden rust. Vizslas are talkers. They will whine or moan to let you know their opinion on everything that is going on around them. They just want to be noticed after all.

All they need is love

Vizsla’s prefer to be leaning against your leg or serving as a foot warmer. They are extremely affectionate and just want to be loved and give love. If having a dog shadow you all day would annoy you, you may want to consider a different breed. But, guaranteed, the love these Vizsla dogs give won’t annoy you at all.

At your service

If you are interested in dog sports and activities, your Vizsla would be happy to compete. But a more important aspect of a Vizsla is they are obedient and agile with superb scenting skills. This makes them very good candidates for guide dogs, drug-detection dogs, therapy dogs and search-and-rescue dogs. Whatever you choose to raise your Vizsla pup to be, as long as you train them with kindness and positive reinforcement, they will honor you.

This is an amazing breed of animal and anyone should be proud to own one just as we, at White River Kennels, are to own and breed them. Our Vizsla breeding dogs are part of our family and when they have a litter, we quickly grow attached to all the puppies that are born. We want you to be just as attached to these beautiful creatures and hope that you will consider one for your family.
