One of the reasons we started breeding these beautiful dogs is because they are really unlike other breeds. Full of energy

Weimaraners are action dogs, meaning they are full of energy and love to run and play. Sounds like a lot of other breeds, right? Correct, but as full of energy as other dogs may be, Weimaraners require lots of exercise. Other dogs may do okay without a ton of exercise, but simply put, Weimaraners can’t thrive without it. As high-energy as they are, however, they do have a calming down time. Historically, they are a gentleman’s hunting dog so they were designed to hunt all day and then live inside with their people in the evenings. They do know how to relax.

Their physical attributes

These puppies are born with stripes and amazing blue eyes, giving them some amazing physical features. Their stripes, however, do fade entirely and their popping blue eyes change to light amber, gray or blue-gray as they mature. They get their nickname “The Gray Ghost” partly because of their coloring but also from their hunting style which is described as stealthy and catlike. It is a look and style like no other dog.

Hopelessly devoted to you

Weimaraners are extremely loyal and devoted to their people. They can get depressed and/or act out if they are ignored. This can lead to separation anxiety problems so it is extremely important to be just as devoted to them as they are to you. They have a love of love and devotion to give!

Their nose knows

Weimaraners have an amazing scenting ability that gives them an edge over other breeds. In any activity where noses rule, other breeds have got nothing on them. Weimaraners are so keenly aware of scents, that they have a tendency to try and disguise their own scent. You may find them rolling in anything stinky they can find to deter their own smell.

This is an amazing breed of animal and anyone should be proud to own one just as we are to own and breed them. Our Weimaraner breeding dogs are part of our family and when they have a litter, we quickly grow attached to all the puppies that are born. We want you to be just as attached to these beautiful creatures and hope that you will consider one for your family.
