Here at White River Kennels, we don’t just sell puppies; we sell the breeds of dogs we love. I fell in love with the Weimaraner breed, and I had to have a Weimaraner puppy. I had B-Cell Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Cancer in 2006, and I decided if I survived that I would get a Weimaraner puppy. Well, I am a cancer survivor and a proud paw parent of Chloe my first Weimaraner who recently retired but is here running around at White River Kennels. When we got our first Weimaraner puppy that is when we were first introduced to the Vizsla breed. It was love at first sight for my husband, Rob. He and I love the regal looks of both the Weimaraner and the Vizsla. They both have the short hair and sleek-coat, muscular, athletic hunting-dogs.

The Weimaraner breed is the larger of the two breeds. The Weimaraner coat comes in a Blue (which actually looks black with a Blue sheen) or a Gray/Silver. The Weimaraner is the more independent of the two breeds. The Weimaraner range in size from a shoulder height of 23 to 28 inches for the Male at the highest point. Females are between 22 to 26 inches at the highest point. Males typically weigh about 66–88 pounds. Females are generally between 55–77 p0unds. The Weimaraner is a very loyal, smart, obedient, fearless, and stubborn dog that you can’t help but love.

We currently have a litter of 6 Blue Weimaraner puppies available from Wheniford & Jake’s litter that was born on January 10, 2018. There are 2 Boys and 4 Girls in this litter. We currently do not have any Silver Weimaraner puppies available, we will have a litter of Silver Weimaraners this summer.

Although the Vizsla may look similar in body style to the Weimaraner they are not related. The Vizsla has a golden-rust to a red coat. They were bred to blend into the field. As adults, the Vizsla’s eye color will match their coat so that they aren’t visible in the field. They are stunning dogs. They make fantastic family pets, as well as hunting dogs. They are often referred to as the velcro dog because they want to stay with you at all times. The Vizsla is a Medium size weighing approximately between 39-55 pounds for females and 44-66 pounds for males. The Vizsla’s range in size from the shoulder height of 20-25 inches females and 22-25 inches males. The Vizsla is from Hungry, and they are hunting dogs like the Weimaraner. The Vizslas are very sweet, gentle, kindhearted, adorable, and Velcro dog. They genuinely want to be where you are at all times. They are fantastic hunters, and the pedigree of our Vizsla line is outstanding.

We currently have two litters of Vizsla puppies available from Bella & Rugar or Avery & Maximus litters. In Bella and Rugar’s litter born on January 30, 2018, there are 6 Vizsla puppies ( 2 boys 4 girls). In Avery & Maximus born on January 24, 2018, litter there are 3 boys and 2 girls.
